2014
KLISBio was founded to advance a new approach to regenerative medicine through the unique potential of silk fibroin and biomaterial innovation.
2015
KLISBio secured an early €485k investment from business angels, helping accelerate platform development and the company’s early scientific and operational progress.
2016
KLISBio advanced the foundation of its silk-based technology platform, deepening its work in biomaterials science, process development, and implantable regenerative applications.
2019/2020
KLISBio continued to build the scientific and translational foundation of its platform, advancing product development and strengthening the evidence supporting its regenerative approach.
2024
KLISBio was awarded support through the highly competitive EIC Accelerator Program from the European Innovation Council, recognizing the strength of its technology, vision, and growth potential.
2026
SILKBridge® received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance, marking a major milestone for KLISBio, bringing its biointegrative approach to peripheral nerve repair into clinical practice.
